Universal is opening a new Florida theme park – and it's said to be the most 'epic' yet

Universal Orlando Resort is building a brand new theme park.

The mammoth attraction will be called Epic Universe.

It’s currently being constructed on a vast 750-acres of land – double the company’s total available acreage in Central Florida.

Here’s what we know about the upcoming park so far.

Epic Universe will become the fourth theme park at Universal Orland Resort.

It will feature its own entertainment centre, hotels, shops and restaurants.

And by the look of the plans, it will plenty of rollercoasters and rides are in the works.

Prototypes suggest the tourist attraction will also be very aesthetically pleasing.

Water fountains and lagoons have been pencilled into the designs – and fireworks displays are likely to take place at night.

Tom Williams, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Universal Parks & Resorts, commented on the plans.

He said: “Our vision for Epic Universe is historic.

“It will build on everything we have done and become the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created.

“It is an investment in our business, our industry, our team members and our community.”

More details about Universal’s Epic Universe will be revealed over time.
