Brad Pitt has had a rather terrific start to 2020.
Not only are his performances in Ad Astra and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood still being roundly celebrated, but he just picked up the Best Supporting Actor gong at the Golden Globes for his performance in the latter, while he’s the firm favourite to repeat this success at the Academy Awards at the start of next month, too.

After a turbulent few years, Pitt is clearly rather enjoying his life at the moment. In fact, at the National Board Of Review earlier this week he set out his current goals in life, which then saw him make a rather amusing quip about one of his past franchises.
According to the Associated Press’ Jake Coyle, Pitt remarked, “My goals in life are pretty simple right now. Be happy, stay healthy, and not get into a financial situation where I have to do Ocean’s 14. We’ll see.”

Considering that all three Ocean’s films Pitt starred in were both well received and financially successful, that might seem a little harsh from Pitt. Especially since Ocean’s 13 was released all the way back in 2007, which means there’s little chance of a follow-up to the franchise actually happening.
That being said, though, the Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett lead reboot Ocean’s 8 did do fairly well at the box office when it was released in the summer of 2018, so maybe Pitt wanted to make his position clear before he was approached about a potential crossover.

Either way, Pitt continued his great run of form at the National Board Of review, where he picked up another Best Supporting Actor award for his turn as Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
