Ellie Kemper has announced that she and her husband Michael Koman have welcome their second child.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star announced that she gave birth to baby boy Matthew a month ago.

Taking to Instagram, Ellie shared a selfie of her holding her newborn, as she proclaimed him to be a ‘good boy’.

‘Happy one month anniversary to our baby boy, Matthew!’ she wrote.

‘He has inherited his dad’s brown hair and his mum’s desire to be carried around all day in a baby sling. He’s a good boy.’

Fans later took to the comments to congratulate Ellie and Michael on their happy news.

‘Congrats, Ellie!’ one fan wrote. ‘You look fantastic!’

‘So many congratulations to you and your family,’ another commented. ‘Matthew must be a good sleeper as you look wonderful.’

‘Awe! Congrats beautiful mamma!’ another fan added.

The actress confirmed she was pregnant during an interview with The Today Show back in June, with her newborn becoming a younger brother to her and Michael’s first child, three-year-old James.

Ellie previously revealed that James had suggested ‘Marshall’ as a name for the tot, before she and her husband settled on Matthew.

Speaking on Live With Ryan And Kelly, she confessed: ‘James said, “What is the baby going to be named?” and I said, “I don’t know, what do you think it should be named?”

‘And he said, without hesitation, “Marshall.”

‘We don’t know anyone named Marshall, I don’t know how he came up with Marshall.’

And she previously confessed to keeping her pregnancy with James under wraps while filming for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – until she eventually told show producer, Tina Fey – before even telling all to her own mother.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said:  ‘We had a table read, and my character is supposed to be on a rollercoaster… It was still very early on, but I felt like a pregnant lady on a rollercoaster was not ideal so I had to tell my boss, Tiny Fey.

‘She knows every secret. I told her before I told my mum.’
