UK holidays: This is the most popular post-lockdown travel trend according to Tripadvisor

Locations such as Loch Ness in Scotland, Snowdonia in Wales, Windermere, Durdle Door, Giant’s Causeway and St Michael’s Mount may become very popular.

The report showed that demand for domestic travel (within your own country) surged rapidly in May in the US and in other countries.

The sudden surge of interest is likely to be because of most countries announcing that they would be easing their lockdown restrictions which in turn built optimism for travel.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic and other restrictions in place, around two in five consumers say that they will take the same or more trips compared to last year, according to the report.
