A hench Conor McGregor weighed in at 170lbs for his UFC 246 showdown with Donald Cerrone on Saturday night.

The Irishman returns from a 15-month absence against Cowboy and opted to fight at welterweight rather than lightweight for his comeback bout.

As a result, McGregor looked strong on the scales as he weighed in at exactly the same weight as his opponent, Cerrone.

A relaxed Cerrone was the first to step on the scales at the early weigh-ins on Friday morning in Las Vegas, coming in at 170lbs.

The American quickly made his exit, while McGregor took his time to strip off in front of the scales, telling UFC officials, ‘You’ll be seeing me a lot more this year.’

McGregor, who is the favourite against Cowboy, has declared the Cerrone fight the beginning of his ‘season’ and expects to fight three times in 2020.

‘I’m in my prime. I just turned 31 years of age, and I have held two titles simultaneously in the past,’ he said.

‘I want to get back to what put me there: consistency, hard work, and consecutive bouts. That’s what I am back.

‘I’m back for the love of it. I have a good fighter in Donald Cerrone in front of me and I am loving forward to it. I’m very excited.’

The rivals will come face-to-face for the final time later today for the ceremonial weigh-ins in front of fans inside the Park Theatre at the MGM.

McGregor and Cerrone headline UFC 246, which also sees Holly Holm and Anthony Pettis in action on the undercard.
