Ubisoft Reveals 14 Teams for Rainbow Six Siege Revenue-Share Pilot Program Phase 2

At the Rainbow Six Siege Six Major Raleigh 2019 this weekend, Ubisoft announced the 14 teams that have been chosen for Phase 2 of its revenue-sharing pilot program.

Six of the 11 teams that were included in the original pilot program have returned for the second phase: Fnatic, PENTA Sports, Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, Evil Geniuses, and Rogue. Additionally, Immortals had previously been in the program, but recently transferred its team to its MIBR brand, which will now take its place in the Phase 2 lineup.

The other seven newly-added teams are Cloud9, G2 Esports, Nora-Rengo, Team Empire, Natus Vincere, INTZ eSports Club, and Spacestation Gaming. Ubisoft originally announced plans to accept up to 16 teams for Phase 2.

According to Ubisoft, more than 40 teams applied to be part of the pilot program for Phase 2, which the publisher opened up to both current Rainbow Six Siege organizations and others that were interested in joining the game’s competitive scene. Ubisoft also brought in third-party consultants to help analyze prospective partners for the revised program.

“This approach helped us to identify the ideal partners for Phase 2, accurately assessing the organizations’ capabilities and vision, and to determine why they should be part of pilot program Phase 2,” reads Ubisoft’s announcement.

As before, Ubisoft will add team-branded in-game items for Rainbow Six Siege, with a portion of sales going to the organizations. This time around, each of the 14 organizations will have its own Pro Team bundle that includes branded headgear, a uniform, and weapon skin for one specific operator (or uniquely-skilled character) in the game. Each bundle also comes with a universal charm that can be attached to weapons from any operator. The new items will be available starting Sept. 10.

Each organization will earn 30% of the revenue of its own respective item sales, with 30% of the organization’s split designated specifically for the team’s players. Additionally, Ubisoft will sell Rainbow Six Pro League-branded items in the game and share 30% of the revenue split evenly amongst the pilot program teams.
