U.S. measles cases surpass 1,000 this year, say health officials

(Reuters) – The United States recorded 1,001 measles cases so far this year, federal health officials said on Wednesday.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 41 new cases of measles in the week ended May 31, calling it the worst outbreak since 1992.
