Tyson Fury has revealed what he and fellow heavyweight Anthony Joshua discuss on the phone.
Joshua, who is preparing for his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr in December, said last week that Fury will sometimes call him out of the blue.
The pair have yet to meet in the ring but look destined to clash before their careers end.
And Fury, who takes on Otto Wallin in Las Vegas on Saturday, explained what he and his rival talk about.
“I call him and sometimes I say, ‘What’s happening AJ, how are you mush?'” he told BT Sport .
“We have a bit of back and forth; I tell him I’m going to know him out, he tells me he’s going to knock me out.
“I said, ‘After your last performance you need a lot of improvement to knock me out!’
“We have a little laugh, it’s a bit of banter. You have all these heavyweight champions and famous sports people in your phone, you have a couple of beers, what you going to do?
“It’s just me having a bit of banter. I call Dillian Whyte, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Joshua.”
Fury’s recollection backs up that of Joshua who first revealed the phone calls in an interview with Behind The Gloves.
“He’s an interesting character,” he said. “Tyson will call me randomly on the phone and he will have a little laugh and I will have a little laugh.
“Then I will say I’m going to knock you out, then he will say, ‘Shut up, I’ll knock you out’.
“That’s just me and Tyson, through and through the respect is there but we’re fighting men.”
