American rapper Tyler, the Creator who was previously banned from the UK over his lyrics has shared a photo of himself in London.
The 28-year-old musician recently released his new album IGOR and has now teased fans in England with an announcement scheduled for this afternoon.
He shared a video of himself shadow boxing outside Buckingham Palace then a photo, wearing a distinctive red and pink suit with a blonde wig.
The picture was posted alongside the caption: “LONDON; IGOR; 3PM; WILL UPDATE YOU LATER WITH LOCATION.”
He was previously barred from performing in the UK in 2015 by then Home Secretary Theresa May.
This was due to lyrics that the Home Office said encouraged “violence and intolerance of homosexuality”.
At the time, he posted on social media: “BASED ON LYRICS FROM 2009 I AM NOT ALLOWED IN THE UK FOR 3-5 YEARS (although i was there 8 weeks ago) THAT IS WHY THE SHOWS WERE CANCELLED.”
Tyler, the Creator’s ban on entering the United Kingdom is believed to have been lifted as of February 13, according to the Press Association.
It is understood that the rapper arrived at Luton Airport in the early hours of Saturday morning.
His post sent fans into a frenzy as they anticipated a potential gig from the star.
Some were looking at travel plans to arrive in London in anticipation of any performance.
