Haringey manager Tom Loizou took the decision to remove his players from the pitch during the FA Cup qualifying tie, with Yeovil making a stand alongside their opponents

The players were tearful, red-eyed and welling up,” Loizou told Sky News.

“I was distraught having to see the expressions on my players’ faces. It was all too much for them to take.”

The incident came just days after England’s players were subject to shocking racial abuse during their Euro 2020 qualifier with Bulgaria, forcing UEFA’s protocol to be implemented.
