There has been feverish speculation among fans about who the next Islander to go will be, though the two stars’ identities will not be revealed until the show is broadcast.

Many have been keen to see the back of Michael Griffiths after his harsh treatment of Amber Gill.

The 27-year-old firefighter ordered the 21-year-old beautician to “sit down” before telling her he was only interested in Joanna Chimonides.

But in a dramatic U-turn he then insisted he DID want her back, even claiming his loved-up speech to Joanna where he said “I found what I wanted” was about her.

Many viewers were anything but impressed at his behaviour and hoped to see him dismissed in Friday’s recoupling.

One wrote: “Michael, a wise queen once said ‘what goes around comes around’, enjoy the last of your holiday sweetie, see you at the next dumping xoxo.”

It is another bumper night of Love Island, with the show broadcast for an hour tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

That will be followed by an hour-long Love Island: Aftersun special, where guests will include last year’s winner Dani Dyer.

The two dumped Islanders are expected to feature, alongside Joanna, who was forced off the show on Monday night.

The 22-year-old recruiter was left vulnerable after being voted among the least-popular stars by the public.

However, the final decision over which of them went was put in the hands of the Islanders, who opted to save Michael.

Many thought the Liverpool lad might leave with her, but he opted to stick around without her.
