Two Brazilian LOL Matches Postponed After Vorax Players Test Positive For COVID-19


Riot Games announced on Thursday that two matches from the Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL) scheduled for Feb. 20 and 21 have been postponed after four players from Vorax tested positive for COVID-19. The matches Vorax was to have played against Rensga Esports and LOUD were rescheduled for next Thursday, Feb. 25.

Riot’s official statement says that “following medical recommendations, [the players] will need to stay away from their activities for seven days, making it impossible for the team to participate in the next weekend’s CBLOL rounds.”

Vorax has already faced a COVID-19 crisis before, but on its Valorant team. The case resulted in its disqualification from the Valorant First Strike Tournament.
