‘They got their cheque and we opened them a bank account’: Four-month-old twin grandchildren of film reviewer Margaret Pomeranz make their acting debut on US series Modern Family
Australian twins Hunter Dutch and Andie Phoenix Pomeranz have made their acting debut at just four-months-old.
The newborns played the children of Sarah Hyland’s character Haley Dunphy, in the series 10 finale episode aired this month.
The pair are the grandchildren of film reviewer Margaret Pomeranz, 74, and children of her son Josh Pomeranz.

The children’s mother, Phillipa Whitfield Pomeranz, who is married to Josh and works as producer in Los Angeles, said the babies ‘already got their cheque’ and now have a bank account.
Phillipa told The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential on Monday that it was a case of ‘the right place at the right time’ with producers looking to cast newborns.
‘Our neighbour was looking at a casting call and saw they were looking for newborn twins,’ Phillipa explained. ‘We sent photos to the casting agent and they were cast.’

Looking to bank on their future success, she added: ‘They already got their cheque and we opened them a bank account.’
Modern Family closed out its 10th season earlier this month, which was originally thought to be the show’s final season.
As the season began, rumours started to spread about the cast and producers engaging in talks with the network for a potential 11th and final season.

ABC confirmed in February that it has renewed Modern Family for its 11th and final season.
Season 10 concluded with the birth of Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Dylan’s (Reid Ewing) twins, as the rest of the Dunphy and Pritchett family reflected on how the past years’ birthdays have been celebrated.
Margaret Pomeranz is a veteran film reviewer best known for her appearances on The Movie Show and At the Movies with fellow film critic David Stratton.
