Zinc Media’s subsidiary Tern Television Productions has received a boost with the recommissioning of The Beechgrove Garden for the BBC.
BBC Scotland has commissioned the long running gardening series for a two-year period starting later this year.
Tern Television will produce 14 episodes in each year, alongside social media and online content.
Beechgrove Garden will be broadcast first on the new BBC Scotland TV channel from 18 April, with a repeat transmission planned for BBC Two.
The popular programme feature presenters Jim McColl, Carole Baxter, Chris Beardshaw and George Anderson.
Zinc Media CEO David Galan said: “This recommission for a further two series highlights the broad spread of programming that the group now produces from its different production bases and also serves to strengthen the visibility of our order book into future years.”
The company announced in December that Galan is stepping down in CEO and it currently working a handover with his replacement Mark Browning.
A highly experienced TV company executive, Browning joined from ITN Productions where he was group managing director for eight years.
