TV Bear Grylls hails young Cub Scout in Christmas pop race


Frankie Morland, of Fleet, Hampshire, hopes to become one of the youngest singers to reach festive top spot after his track World In Danger came out on Friday. 

He wants to raise awareness after reading a book in his school library about endangered animals.

Frankie was even inspired to start a running club to raise money for charity.Then he and his father Charlie were playing with instruments when Frankie started singing about climate change. 

On the day his single was released Cub Scout Frankie was presented with a music badge by adventurer Grylls.

Frankie fears “there won’t be any clean air and won’t be any more animals left to enjoy”. He added: “I will be really nervous but really happy if it does make Christmas No 1.” 

Chief Scout Bear said: “Frankie is an inspiration to us all. It’s part of Scouting’s mission to leave the world a little better than we find it.”
