While the real life Idris Elba has no shortage of gigs (hello, he even DJed Harry and Meghan’s wedding) his newest character isn’t so fortunate.

In Turn Up Charlie – which he created alongside Gary Reich – he stars as Charlie, a down-on-his-luck disc jockey who gets hired as a nanny for problem child Gabby.

The comedy show was recently released on Netflix and, while it hasn’t received rave reviews just yet, it seems to be an enjoyable watch.

Here’s everything you need to know about the series if you want to give it a go.
