Tuchel's three-man transfer wishlist as Chelsea boss 'to be handed £200m budget'

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is looking to bolster his ranks after leading the Blues to the Champions League.

The German only took over in January but has taken the west Londoners to the summit of European football and has his sights set on new recruits.

Tuchel has been working with the lavishly assembled squad put together by Frank Lampard but has been handed £200m by Roman Abramovich, according to the Telegraph.

The Russian spent big 12 months ago but is ready to go again in the transfer market.

Timo Werner was one of Chelsea’s marquee signings last summer but he has failed to make the grade thus far meaning a new striker could be added.

Tuchel has his sights set on Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

The Borussia Dortmund forward continues to see his stock rise and scored 41 times for the Bundesliga outfit.

He has a release clause that will come into affect next summer, but in the coming months the German side can name their price.

Haaland isn’t short of admirers though so his many suitors may be involved in a bidding war.

Kane meanwhile appears more available having expressed a desire to leave north London.

Both have been prolific in recent years and would add another dimension to Chelsea, who have been low scorers in recent months.

Declan Rice, a Blues target last summer, is still on the club’s radar despite the change in manager.

The West Ham midfielder was on Chelsea’s books as a youngster and has since flourished in east London.

Tuchel has said he doesn’t foresee wholesale changes taking place, but would like to add a couple of fresh faces.

He said: “Two or three could be very, very good. It’s a constant thing to never deny also change. That you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it’s a good thing.

“We don’t need another seven and another complete turnover because it’s also our job to keep on improving because we have still a young squad and it’s now about stealing from them the chance to prove it again that they are capable of growing and evolving.

“But we have some ides, of course, to make the group stronger and I think this can always be a positive thing to challenge all of us.”

Tuchel is also understood to have an interest in Wolves ‘ Adama Traore, who he sees as an ideal wing-back option.

Romelu Lukaku, who was sold by Chelsea in 2014, could also be considered as a target amid Inter Milan’s financial issues.
