When is Trust Me on BBC One?

Series two of BBC drama Trust Me airs TOMORROW (Tuesday, April 16) at 9pm on BBC One.

The series is a four-part drama and is bound to have viewers gripped, especially with such a stellar cast in the mix.

Episode four goes head-to-head with Horizon on BBC Two, Manchester: 100 Days After the Attack and Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.

If you miss an episode you can catch up on BBC iPlayer.

What is Trust Me about?

Trust Me tells the story of Corporal James McCain, a soldier who was injured and temporarily paralysed on duty.

He’s now recovering in a Glasgow hospital witnessing patients dying around him.

Jamie is spurred on to investigate their deaths but his injury is holding him back.

Series’ writer Dan Sefton said: “I just thought it was really interesting idea to have someone who was previously really strong and fit and sort of physically defined themselves to become completely kind of broken and unable to do anything.

“And then the idea of them trying to, you know, investigate — getting a zest for life back, or a reason to live back, just because they have to do something to stop somebody else being killed.”

The series digresses from series one’s plot which saw Doctor Who’s Jodie Whittaker play a nurse who steals her pal’s identity and pretends to be a doctor.

Who is in the cast?

The second series sees an entirely new cast, meaning Jodie Whittaker and co will not be starring.

Harry Potter’s Alfred Enoch plays main character Jamie McCain.

While The Victim’s John Hannah plays Archie Watson, one of Jamie’s senior doctors.

Catastrophe’s Ashley Jensen plays physiotherapist Debbie and Richard Rankin – known for Outlander – stars as neurologist Dr Alex Kiernan.
