Trump news: End of the world fears spike as Bible expert claims Devil 'stole election'

supporters stormed the US Capitol in Washington DC on Wednesday in a bid to disrupt Congress from certifying the results of the US election. Scenes of violence unfolded as supporters of the incumbent president clashed with police, with pepper spray being used in the skirmishes. President Trump called on Vice President Trump to nullify the election’s results in a last-ditch attempt to secure another term in office.

Mr Pence, however, declined to cave in under pressure and instead recalled his oath to uphold the US constitution.

The President has since tweeted his second-hand man did not “have the courage to do what should have been done to protect” the US.

Niche groups of evangelical Christians have now suggested the unfolding unrest is a sign of Biblical prophecy coming to fruition.

Conspiracy theorists took to social media to link Wednesday’s events to the Bible and prophecies about the end of the world.

One person said: “This incident today is in scripture, its called Revelations. I hope no one is surprised. The Most High reigns Supreme even over Trump, his supporters and enablers.”

Another person tweeted: “If you really want to know, I think we’re living the book of Revelations. False prophets, disease, famine, economic instability.

“A verse speaks about the people who were once on the bottom, will rise to the top. I think Trump/white privilege see the shift occurring and are scared.”

Paul Begley, a popular online personality and TV host took to YouTube to announce during a live broadcast America was bleeding out before his very eyes.

Pastor Begley is a fervent believer in Biblical prophecy who has in the past .

Earlier last year he told his more than 340,000 YouTube followers based on his interpretations of the Bible.

He now said: “We know, of course, a couple of things in the election last night in Georgia.

“Looks like the Devil went down to Georgia looking for an election to steal.

“Anyway, it looks like the Democrats miraculously are going to win these two senatorial seats by less than a percent each.”

President Trump has since tweeted out a message urging his followers to stand down and respect the rule of law.

He tweeted: “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence!

“Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!

Mr Trump has contested the results of Georgia’s runoff election, which saw Democrat Jon Ossof narrowly edge out against Republican David Perdue.

Pastor Begley believes the results of Georgia’s election will be questioned in the coming days and will likely see a number of recounts.

He likened the drawn-out process to a thousand cuts bleeding out America.

The firebrand preacher said: “God is still in control, even in the middle of all this, God is still in control.

“See, God will take any situation that man creates and messes up, or does deliberately or not, and He still – His will, His glory, His salvation message of hope, His redemption for humanity, His Kingdom of Jesus Christ will still reign over all the Earth before it’s all said and done.

“So that is the point of folks. Stay focused, stay praying, stay ready, and pray one for another.”
