THE Stranglers will headline one of the biggest nights in rock next week.
Some of the genre’s most iconic stars will take to London’s O2 Academy Islington on March 27 for the AEG Vive Le Rock Awards.
The event has been described as a long overdue chance to celebrate rock and its artists.
Among the acts receiving awards will be London’s Killing Joke and Lee Thompson from ska legends Madness.
They will be joining 70s glam rock queen Suzi Quatro, Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock and Friends, Ed Tudor-Pole and the final solo performance of Barrie Masters from Eddie and the Hotrods.
Fulfilling the all-star line up will be The Damned and Friends, Shakin’ Stevens and more.
Former Crystal Maze presenter and punk rocker Ed Tudor-Pole will compare the evening and performing a host of his classic songs.
