Travel pictures: Five of the most bizarre buildings in the world from Canada to Dubai

The world is full of natural wonders that people often flock to snap photos of throughout the year. However, some of the world’s most beautiful sights are actually manmade such as art galleries, castles, buildings and churches. Express.co.uk has gathered a list of five of the world’s most bizarre yet beautiful buildings.

3. Low impact woodland house, Wales, UK

Also known as “hobbit house”, this environmentally friendly house was created with a chainsaw, hammer and £3,000.

The house was built in 2005 and looks as though it is nestled in the earth.

The design of the home means that it is energy efficient, is warm in winter and cooler in the summer.

Despite how small it looks, the house has two floors with two bedrooms and solar panels to provide energy.

5. Atlantis, Dubai, UAE

This mammoth building looks like a palace but is actually a five-star hotel on the apex of the Palm Island’s crescent.

The magnificent building was the first to be built on the island and is based on the myth of Atlantis.

The resort has over 1,500 rooms, 23 restaurants, boutiques and a water park.

The structure has been used in popular culture for various TV shows and films.
