Cristiano Ronaldo back to Man Utd?

Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester United if Juventus fail to win the Champions League, Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda claims.

Ronaldo has had a turbulent season at Juventus under Maurizio Sarri this time out.

And Inda claims Ronaldo is considering a shock return to Old Trafford if Juventus don’t win the Champions League this season.

He said on Spanish television programme ‘Chiringuito De Jugones’: “Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus at the end of the current season if they do not win Champions.

“He went to Turin to try and win his third Champions League with a different club but things are getting complicated.”

Pep Guardiola’s agent on future

Pep Guardiola’s agent Josep Maria Orobitg has slammed recent Bayern Munich return links as he insists his client will not leave Manchester City.

Orobitg said: “Pep is satisfied and very happy in Manchester.

“His contract runs until June 2021.

“I have spoken to nobody in Germany about him – neither with agents or club bosses.

“Pep has good memories of Munich and still has friends there.

“But he has never shown any interest in returning to Germany as a coach.

“This is a thing that would be just as impossible at the present time as last summer with Juventus.

“Guardiola always fulfils his contracts. I deny all rumours!”

Jose Mourinho to Tottenham has been in the works for ‘some time’

Tottenham’s move to bring Jose Mourinho to north London has been in the works for ‘some time’, ex-Rangers forward Ally McCoist claims.

He told talkSPORT: “You’re half expecting it but you’re still shocked and surprised when it happens!

“The fact of the matter is that they’ve had this plan for some time now, you don’t sack somebody and appoint someone else within 24 hours if you’ve not got an agenda or a plan.

“I’m interested at the contrasting styles between two managers.

“One thing about Mourinho is that he is an absolute winner.”

Wanted: Gianluca Busio

Manchester United have been linked with Sporting Kansas City midfielder Gianluca Busio.

ESPN claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have expressed interest in the 17-year-old midfielder, who scored four goals and provided two assists in his breakthrough MLS campaign.

It’s said United have been “kicking the tires” for the US Under-17 international, while European rivals Fiorentina have had several offers of around £3million rejected.

SKC’s director of scouting Edward Burleson said: “He’s a great talent. He is a player who can play safely in Europe. If he wants to make a great career, he has to go to Europe soon. Inter? Yes, I also know about Manchester United.”

BREAKING: Mauricio Pochettino sacked

Tottenham have announced they have sacked manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentinian has been relieved of his duties after five-and-a-half years in charge.

Spurs, who were in the Champions League final only six months ago, have endured a tough start to the season and are currently 14th in the Premier League table.

Chairman Daniel Levy, who appointed Pochettino in June 2014, said: “We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the board have taken lightly, nor in haste. Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and the beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.

“It falls on the board to make the difficult decisions – this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff – but we do so in the club’s best interests.”

Eric Bailly deal

Manchester United are preparing to extend defender Eric Bailly’s contract.

The 25-year-old last featured for the Red Devils in April 2019 against Chelsea and a serious knee injury has kept him sidelined ever since.

The Ivory Coast international’s contract is set to expire in June 2020 and he’d be free to leave Old Trafford.

However, The Sun claim United will exercise their option to extending Bailly’s contract for another 12 months.

The Sweden international, who earned his first international cap against the Faroe Islands on Monday, has scored twice and provided five assists in 12 Serie A appearances.

Unai Emery’s Gunners are also interested in the winger, who is expected to cost £40million.

Sander Berge latest

Chelsea have entered the congested battle to sign Genk midfield Sander Berge.

Liverpool are leading the chase with the player openly revealing his desire to play at Anfield in the future.

But despite his preference to play for the Premier League leaders and a personal chat with manager Jurgen Klopp after a recent Champions League encounter – Frank Lampard’s side are interested.

Chelsea’s two-window transfer ban could be lifted after tomorrow’s hearing at the Court of Arbitration and Berge could be their first January arrival.

Kylian Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid.

That’s the audacious report from Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, who claim the French international will reject any contract proposals from PSG.

Erling Haaland’s social media activities has some Manchester United supporters excited.

The RB Salzburg striker has scored 26 goals in 18 appearances this season – including five hat-tricks in four different competitions.

And his exploits have seen United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all linked with his £85million signature.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could win the battle if the 19-year-old’s twitter activity is anything to go by after he followed Manchester United and Marcus Rashford on Twitter.
