Transfer news LIVE: Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham latest

The transfer window closes next week meaning that we are set for a busy few days of action as the likes of Manchester UnitedArsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea scramble to bolster their squads ahead of the August 8 deadline.

Manchester United have dominated the headlines in recent days, wrapping up a record deal for Leicester’s Harry Maguire. The defender is set to be announced as the club’s latest signing in the coming days. United also continue to be linked with a transfer for Juventus‘ Paulo Dybala, with striker Romelu Lukaku poised to move the other way.

Arsenal have also enjoyed a busy week, completing a club-record move for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe. The Gunners remain in the market for a defender; Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is their top target. Follow LIVE updates below:

Brighton are preparing to launch a bid for Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater, according to reports.

After completing a club-record signing to land Bristol City’s Adam Webster, the Seagulls have now set their sights on Drinkwater.

The Sun claims that Graham Potter wants the out-of-favour midfielder on a season-loan loan deal to power up his engine room.

AC Milan have announced the signing of Ismael Bennacer from Empoli FC.

The Algerian midfielder joins on a five-year contract after two years with the Tuscany-based club.

Leicester City have identified a replacement for Manchester United-bound Harry Maguire, according to reports.

The Sun claims that Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Kristoffer Ajer as a late summer signing.

Rodgers worked with £15million-rated centre-back Ajer, 21, during his time at Celtic.

Although happy with his current centre-back options at Leicester, which include Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and captain Wes Morgan, Rodgers is an admirer of the Norway international and has reportedly placed him on his long-term shortlist.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Paul Pogba remains committed to Manchester United after missing the club’s final pre-season game.

Pogba – who said in June that “it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else” – was absent for the International Champions Cup penalty shoot-out win over AC Milan in Cardiff with what Solskjaer had described as a “back spasm”.

It was reported on Friday night that staff and players were shocked when the France midfielder failed to turn up for the scheduled flight.

But Solskjaer said Pogba’s name being included in the party was down to an administrative error, and he was aware that the World Cup winner would not be travelling to Cardiff.

Asked whether he was concerned about Pogba’s commitment to United, Solskjaer replied: “I’ve no doubts at all.

“I wasn’t expecting him (on the plane). I spoke to him after training and he didn’t feel right.

“Paul will probably be back early next week training. It’s not an injury, he just felt some pain. We didn’t want to risk anything this weekend and he should be OK for Chelsea. I hope so.”
