Transfer news LIVE: Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea rumours

Follow LIVE updates this Tuesday with all the latest transfer news, rumours and done deals.

There will be a rush to get deals done in the closing days of the window with Manchester United seemingly ready to continue their rebuild.

We’ll have the latest on Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, while Gareth Bale‘s future remains uncertain.

Aston Villa are closing in on signing their ninth player this summer in the form of Egypt star Mahmoud Trezeguet.

The Star claim Villa will push through an £8m deal for the Kasimpasa winger, with personal terms to follow.

Villa will break the £100m mark in terms of spending this summer following the move as Dean Smith plots survival in their first season back in the Premier League.

De Gea is keen to take on the captaincy at Manchester United ahead of signing a new six-year deal.

The Spaniard can expect to bank a £117m new contract, equating to £450,000 per week, to keep him at Old Trafford until 2025.

“I’ve been captain for some games,” De Gea said. “Of course, it is amazing to be captain of a club like Manchester United and defend this badge. It’s amazing, so of course I’ll be really, really happy to captain.”

Atletico Madrid are weighing up a move for James Rodriguez rather than Christian Eriksen.

The Tottenham star has one year remaining on his contract, but Diego Simeone prefers the Colombian.

Marca believe it comes down to economics: James will cost around €40m, while Eriksen will be in the region of €60-70m.

Danny Rose could be heading for the Tottenham exit with Juventus a shock potential landing spot.

The England international is admired by Maurizio Sarri from his time at Chelsea.

And the Mail believe the Italians will rival PSG and Schalke for the 29-year-old.

Spurs are looking to push for two more signings before the end of the summer in the form of Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.

The Mirror claim Pochettino could add his compatriot Lo Celso from Real Betis for £60m.

While Sessegnon will cost at least £20m from Fulham, with one year remaining on his contract at the Cottage.

Real Madrid could factor into the Pogba stakes too, but must sell Gareth Bale first.

The Welshman earns £550,000 per week currently and could collect a £20m bonus if he agrees to move to China, report the Mail.

With his contract until 2022, Bale has a strong bargaining position and will demand a salary in the same ball park as the world’s highest earners to consider a Bernabeu exit.

Arsenal could profit from Juventus’ extravagant plans in the market by landing one of Europe’s most talented young strikers: Moise Kean.

The Italy international appears to be available with the Italians unable to shift Gonzalo Higuain, eyeing up Mauro Icardi and looking to finance a move for Paul Pogba.

Borussia Dortmund are also keen, claim Corriere dello Sport, with the price set at around €40m (£36m).

Welcome to Tuesday’s Transfer Live Blog where the deals are nearing completion around Europe with the start of the season in sight.

Manchester United appear to still be active and are trying to convince Paulo Dybala to move to Old Trafford.

Tuttosport believe United will package a separate deal for Paul Pogba to head back to Turin if they can bring in the Argentine to compensate for their loss.

Pogba appears to have concentrated on pre-season, with Juan Mata revealing the French midfielder is not allowing speculation to distract him.

“He’s a fantastic midfielder and he’s a very good guy,” the 31-year-old added.

“I think he’s happy. Obviously as a team-mate, and as a friend also, I would like him to stay and to be happy because he is a very good player for us.

“We know we have to do better than last season. This club has won more trophies than any other club in England.”
