Paul Pogba contract demand

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to demand an astronomical salary to remain at Old Trafford.

The French midfielder has openly revealed his desire to leave United with Spanish giants Real Madrid eager to secure his signature.

The Red Devils have refused to part with the 26-year-old with his contract set to expire in June 2021 – and Okdiario suggest he could use that to his advantage with a fresh contract ultimatum.

It’s claimed Pogba will demand £577k per week to extend his deal and that could force United to either accept or risk losing him for free in two years.

Wanted: Duvan Zapata

Manchester United have apparently shown interest in Duvan Zapata.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who claim the Atalanta forward is being considered to solve Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s striking problems.

The Red Devils lost Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan over the summer, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both struggling with fitness problems.

Zapata, a 28-year-old Colombia international, scored 28 goals in all competitions last season and has already notched three in four Serie A appearances this season.

Wilfried Zaha exit

Wilfried Zaha wants to leave Crystal Palace.

The Ivorian international was tipped to leave Selhurst Park during the summer transfer window with Arsenal and Everton challenging for his services.

The Eagles held on to their 26-year-old star – but that could change in January.

Calciomercato claims Zaha is hopeful of leaving Crystal Palace when the window opens on January 1 and the report claims the south London side could be open to doing business for a ‘reduced price’ to avoid ‘poisoning the dressing room’.

Newcastle bid

Newcastle are expected to splash the cash in January.

According to Gol Digital, Steve Bruce’s side could swoop for Sevilla midfielder Rony Lopes.

Lopes, 23, signed a five-year deal with Sevilla in August but has made just one 11-minute appearance in La Liga and is apparently surplus to requirements.

It’s claimed Newcastle have been monitoring Lopes for a while and could finally sign the £22million-rated winger.
