Man Utd and Man City are set for a summer transfer battle after Juventus agreed to sell Joao Cancelo.
United are desperate for a new first-choice right-back as Ashely Young will be 34 at the start of next season.
City, meanwhile, need competition for Kyle Walker as Danilo looks set to leave the Etihad.
And Tuttosport claim both Manchester clubs are keen on Portuguese international Cancelo who only moved to Juve last summer.
The 24-year-old started 22 games in Sere A but it is claimed manager Massimiliano Allegri has never been convinced by him.

Man Utd will sign Daniel James this summer and the deal is a question of when and not if, Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth claims.
“This one we’ve been talking about for a few weeks now, this one looks like it’s moving closer,” he told Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast.
“Swansea City to Manchester United, there’s a feeling now it’s a question of when and not if.
“Personal terms not expected to be a problem, remember he almost joined Leeds in the January transfer window. Didn’t happen [for] £8.5m.
“But Manchester United suddenly enter the fray and it looks like the fee is thought to be more around double that, so around £15m.
“Still no agreement between the clubs, but it seems that that one will happen.”

Chelsea should let Eden Hazard leave for Real Madrid this summer, and could even have made a deal with him last summer to allow him to leave this year, Paul Mariner claims.
“I personally thought they did a deal with him before the season started,” he said.
“[That’s because] He started with a bit of a smile on his face.
“There’s no doubt he’s a fantastic player, he’s put his miles in for Chelsea.
“If he wants to leave, it might be similar to the Petr Cech thing where Abramovich says ‘alright, roll on’.
“If Real Madrid want him, I’d love to see him play for Real Madrid.”

Man Utd need to bolster their defence, midfield and attack this summer, former Red Devils ace Jaap Stam claims.
“I think we definitely could do with some more quality up front, in midfield and the back four as well,” Stam said.
“You want a squad that is competitive towards each other. Everyone needs to push each other to get the maximum out of everyone – to achieve something.
“As manager and as a club you need to have a look at that. After the last couple of seasons and how everything is going, I think it is good to re-evaluate everything in the team.
“Look at the players, what they have done and what they have achieved. Even players who have a contract for another three or four seasons – you need to make your choices towards them and what you want to do with them.
“At the end of the day the most important thing is to achieve the goals you set out, sometimes you need to make hard decisions to do that.”

Leeds have played down reports they will be bought by a Qatar-based company, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.
“The sources that I’ve been in touch with this morning are playing this down,” Thornton told Sky Sports News on Sunday morning.
“Now there’s no doubt that Middle East cash can transform any football club.
“We know that, we’ve seen that in English football already and there is no doubt that Leeds will be a very, very attractive proposition for any potential investor.
“It’s important to stress that this is a very different football club to the one that [owner] Andrea Radrizzani acquired two years ago.
“There are certainly financial challenges for Leeds United, so investment could make a huge difference for them.”

Joao Felix has ruled out a move to Manchester City or Manchester United this summer.
The Benfica star, who has been linked with a £107m move, insists he’s happy in Portugal.
He said: “I’m good here, I’m very happy, I love the club. I adore these fans who adore me.
“I want to enjoy the moment, play ball, have fun doing what I like, and then, over time, things happen naturally. I am very happy in Benfica.”

Matthijs de Ligt has refused to rule out a move to the Premier League amid interest from Manchester United.

The France international is set to quit Old Trafford for a second time this summer after struggling for much of last season.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is ready to match United’s £120 million valuation of the World Cup winner but he might need to offload Gareth Bale before he can move.
That could open the door for Juventus who despite struggling to find that kind of money do have one major advantage.
Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Argentinean striker Dybala, 25, and Brazilian left wing back Sandro, 28, a long-time target of Chelsea.
And they are ready to offer both players in a mega swap deal for Pogba who won four successive Serie A titles with Juve before his record £94.5m return to United.

Arsenal have had a bid rejected by Lorient for French youngster Alexis Claude-Maurice.
It was reported last week that the Gunners were interested on bringing Claude-Maurice to north London this summer.
And Get French Football News have now claimed that Arsenal have made a bid of around €7m, which has been turned down.
The report also states that the club are readying a second bid for the 20-year-old.

Liverpool have enquired about Brazilian teenager Joao Pedro.
The Daily Mail say the Reds are keen to land the Fluminense ace.
The 17-year-old has agreed to sign for Watford for £2m in 2020, however, there is a clause that allows another team to step in for £20m.
Should Pedro not join Watford, the rival side must pay them £20m if he heads elsewhere.

18:00 UPDATE: Chelsea deadline
Eden Hazard has set a deadline of June 4 for when he wants his move to Real Madrid to be clinched by.
Real Madrid are expected to make another bid for Eden Hazard after the Europa League final against Arsenal in Baku next Wednesday.
Chelsea still want around £112 million for the Belgian star, while Real have offered £86m – but it is expected that a compromise will be reached in the days after the final, with Hazard keen to go, and Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane pushing for the deal to be done.
But Hazard has told friends that at all costs he wants the deal tied up by June 4 – just five days after the final – which is when he joins up with Belgium for international duty.
The Belgian captain and his side have Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan on June 8 and Scotland on June 11, and Hazard wants his move sorted out by then.
