Tottenham are closing in on a deal for Bruno Fernandes according to reports in Portugal.
Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes tweeted: “Bruno Fernandes: TODAY, Bruno and his agent have an agreement with @SpursOfficial
“The spurs, although, still have to reach one with @Sporting_CP.”
It is possible he will be a replacement for Christian Eriksen who is now on Manchester United’s radar.

09.05 UPDATE: Rodri ‘perfect for City’
Rodri is perfect for Manchester City according to Kevin de Bruyne.
The former Atletico Madrid star made his debut for City this weekend in the Community Shield and impressed fans and De Bruyne.
“He did really well. He’s a perfect fit for us,” De Bruyne said.
“The way that we did transfers the last years adds up. You see a lot of young talent coming in willing to play our style. I think that’s what they’re looking for and he’s a perfect fit for us.”

Arsenal want two deals over the line before Thursday’s deadline as Laurent Koscielny agrees to join Bordeaux.
The club captain will leave Arsenal for the Ligue 1 side this month and Arsenal want a new centre-back and a left-back before the window shuts.
Arsenal remain hopeful of signing Kieran Tierney despite his injury problems.
And they have also been linked with Dayot Upamecano.

07.50 UPDATE: Coutinho to Arsenal latest
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has denied considering a move for Philippe Coutinho.
The Barcelona ace was supposedly on the Gunners’ radar as the transfer window comes close to closing, but Emery insists that is not the case.
“We’ve never talked about Coutinho,” Emery told SER after facing Barcelona in a pre-season friendly last night.
“He’s a splendid player, but we haven’t talked about Coutinho at any time.”

Everton have put together a £100m package to sign Wilfried Zaha this summer.
Everton are chasing the Crystal Palace winger and want him as their marquee summer signing.
And the Sun report that Everton have offered Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy and £65m to get their man.
Zaha did want to join Arsenal but saw that dream die when Nicolas Pepe joined for a club-record £72m.

Manchester United want to sign Christian Eriksen before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The Tottenham ace admitted it could be time to move on earlier in the summer but has yet to receive firm interest until now.
United have decided to make a move with just days remaining in the transfer window and hope to rush through a move.
European clubs have until the end of the month to sign Eriksen but United are looking to get their nose in front.

Arsenal want to sign a new centre back before the transfer window slams shut at 5pm on Thursday.
The Gunners’ rebuilding job has been a difficult one this summer with restrictions on spending after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
They landed William Saliba but sent him back on loan and broke their club transfer record on Nicolas Pepe.
However with the hours ticking down Unai Emery hopes to land at least one more player to bolster his squad.

Tottenham are looking at replacements for Christian Eriksen should he depart this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with both Bruno Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso but is running out of time to get either deal done.
According to the Telegraph Tottenham are expecting low-ball bids of around £50m for Eriksen and want a replacement in before letting him go.
Pochettino has been frustrated with the summer’s work despite seeing Tottenham break their transfer record.
