Transfer News LIVE: Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal plan first signings

Manchester United’s misery is set to continue throughout June as the 13-time Premier League champions will reportedly hand Paul Pogba another lavish pay packet in excess of £1million before his contract expires at the end of the month.

The Red Devils have already confirmed that Pogba will call time on his career at Old Trafford this summer and leave as a free agent, though the terms of his deal mean United will have their funds crippled from the off, according to The Sun.

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are both linked with Pogba’s signature but neither club are likely to offer close to his current salary, which is believed to be in the region of £290,000 per week.

United paid a club-record fee of £90m to sign the Frenchman from Juventus back in 2016 along with plenty more in agent fees, with his 233 appearances for the club ultimately costing them around £800,000 per game.
