08.25 UPDATE: Sanchez could return to Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez would be welcome back at Arsenal if Unai Emery can agree a shock summer transfer.

“Sanchez is a top player and top players are always welcome at Arsenal,” the former defender said.

“If Unai Emery could get him back mentally because it has been a while without him playing, then he could be a good addition.

“It depends if he is the kind of player that Unai would enjoy having at Arsenal.”

08.15 UPDATE: Pogba to Real Madrid ‘practically done’

Paul Pogba’s move to Real Madrid is close to being done and the Manchester United star has agreed to take a pay cut.

“Pogba is practically done,” Eduardo Inda said in reference to the United star and a Bernabeu move.

“The first to appear will be Hazard and the next will be Pogba.

“He has agreed to lower his Manchester United salary: from £13m net per year to £10m.

“Adidas is pressing a lot because he is one of the two franchise players of the brand.”

08.00 UPDATE: De Ligt twist

Barcelona are no longer as confident about signing Matthijs De Ligt after a fresh twist over the last seven days.

“A week ago, Barcelona were very confident that De Ligt would come there,” he said on the Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast.

“They are much less confident now.

“Now I must admit I don’t know what’s happened in the meantime but I imagine it’s an enormous truckload of cash having been driven round a house by his agent, who just happens to be Mino Raiola.

“It’s not like he needs another truckload of cash but that will perhaps help shift the mood and shift the priorities.

“Barcelona would, I guess, be expected to respond to that.

“It doesn’t mean this deal is dead but they thought it was done and they’re less confident now.”

07.30 UPDATE: Coutinho could stay if Valverde goes

Spanish journalist Gerard Romero claims Philippe Coutinho could stay at Barcelona if Ernesto Valverde leaves the club, but Malcom is likely to head to the Premier League.

He tweeted: “Ousmane Dembele, his physical weakness and attitude place him in the market. If a good offer arrives, the club will evaluate your departure.”

“Malcom If Valverde comes out, Coutinho can continue to have more prominence. The Premier can be your destination.”

Barcelona are expected to be busy this summer and pressure is on Valverde after they lost the Copa del Rey final.

06.45 UPDATE De Ligt decision time

Matthijs de Ligt will choose Manchester United over Barcelona only if money is his priority.

That’s according to Duncan Castles

“Manchester United have been briefing over the weekend that they do no expect a deal to happen,” Castles said on The Transfer Window podcast.

“I don’t think that is a particular surprise.

“If you rationally address this, the only way De Ligt goes to Manchester United is for money.

“Why would you choose, as your first move, to go for a club that’s outside of the Champions League football, that has a terrible defence?

“So you would be exposed as a teenager coming in and shifting from your own country for the first time to being expected to fix that defence.”

06.30 UPDATE Arsenal deal ‘looks good’

Arsenal hero Lauren has backed the signing of William Saliba this summer.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old defender and Lauren thinks he would be a good addition.

“Yes, he looks a very good player,” Lauren told American Gambler.

“Strong, tall, can come out of the back with the ball and an international for France.

“He reads the game very well, which is important for a player at the back.
