September’s BLAST Pro Series Moscow Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament will feature Toyota as its official car sponsor, RFRSH Entertainment has announced.

Toyota is the first car sponsor for a BLAST Pro Series event, and according to a release, is also the first car brand to sponsor esports events in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The brand will be featured at the $250K event on Sept. 14 at VTB Arena in Moscow.

Toyota branding will also be integrated within the closed CIS qualifiers broadcasts on August 10-11. The qualifier will determine the sixth team to participate in the event, alongside ENCE, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, MIBR, and Team Vitality. Toyota joins BLAST Pro Series global sponsors Twitch, Betway, and OMEN by HP at the Moscow event.

“We are delighted to welcome Toyota as one of [the] key sponsors of BLAST Pro Series Moscow, and the first-ever car sponsor for BLAST,” said BLAST Pro Series head of commercial solutions Leo Matlock, in a release. “We aspire to reach new markets and grow the esports ecosystem with world-class competitive entertainment, and being able to announce such a prestigious partner in our first tournament in Moscow—in what will be one of the biggest esports tournaments ever held in Russia—is a great showcase of the global appeal of BLAST Pro Series.”

Moscow is the fifth of eight BLAST Pro Series tournaments for 2019, with previous stops at Sao Paulo, Miami, Madrid, and Los Angeles already completed. BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen will take place on Nov. 2, with the other tournament locations and dates still to be announced. Each of the first seven tournaments features a $250K prize pool, with the points-based seasonal structure leading up to a $500K global final in December.
