Tourist attraction offers Scotland's scariest sleepover for Halloween

Just in case you thought Brexit night is not scary enough, Edinburgh Dungeon is daring visitors to spend the night in a coffin in its Torture Chamber for a Séance Sleepover on Halloween.

It is not known if UK government minister are being invited to apply for the 31st October invitation.

Booking.com, the digital travel business, has teamed up with the Edinburgh Dungeon to create the world’s spookiest overnight stay on the most terrifying night of the year.

Guests will start off their Halloween experience with a complimentary dinner at the Hard Rock Café, before joining the last Dungeons tour of the day. A professional medium and a ouija board will attempt to summon whatever spirits may lurk in the depths of the Edinburgh Dungeon. After the séance, guests will be taken to the Torture Chamber to rest (in peace) in their custom-built coffin bed for the night, complete with skeleton pyjamas and slippers.

Ryan Pearson, regional manager at Booking.com says: “This spooky sleepover at the Edinburgh Dungeon is certainly not for the faint hearted. Located in one of the scariest settings in the UK, we are so excited to offer our customers a chance to experience the Séance Sleepover, where guests are sure to witness a few bumps in the night!”

Stuart Jarman, general manager at The Edinburgh Dungeon says: “Here at The Edinburgh Dungeon we pride ourselves on dishing out Scary Fun all day long to visitors who love the thrills of our immersive underground journey through history. However, few would brave the depths and darkness of the Dungeon after hours where there is no guarantee who, or what, our overnight guests may meet! We wish the lucky pair who book this unique stay the best of luck. Only the brave will survive.”
