The heartwarming clip has sparked an outpouring of support for the judge – who was keen to include Juliana’s son in her big day.

Mum Juliana later told how the Tennessee Court of Appeals judge had supported her through her pregnancy during her final semesters at Belmont University College of Law.

She told Yahoo Lifestyle: “Judge Dinkins has been there since [my first year of law school] and, of course, knew I would be giving birth during my final year.

“He knows how important a swearing-in ceremony is, and for Beckham to take part in the ceremony.”

MOMENTOUS OCCASION

The official swearing in ceremony marks the beginning of law graduate Juliana’s career as a practicing attorney.

Her husband Javon Lamar, mom Ana and classmate Sarah Martin were all among those present for the momentous occasion.

Responding to the viral clip, Juliana said it “perfectly captured my journey and my accomplishments.”

She explained that she was afraid of failing to graduate from law school after falling pregnant in her second year.

Worried Juliana even rushed back to attend classes just a week after undergoing an emergency c-section in October 2018.

AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT

And after little Beckham was born, his mom had just one semester of classes left before she sat her bar exam.

Amazingly, she was able to study and pass the test – all while taking care of her precious newborn.

Juliana said she crammed for eight to 10 hours every day while looking after her baby son – including exclusively breastfeeding him.

She added that she felt guilty during the times she had to be away from Beckham to attend classes.

But the support of Juliana’s loving family helped her succeed, she said.

Loving husband Javon became a stay-at-home dad following the completion of his Army contract – allowing Juliana to study and work as a clerk at the Davidson County Circuit Courts.

That role is up in August 2021, when Juliana plans to begin looking for a permanent position.

Juliana added: “To see a mother finish law school, and a judge understand all that she has been through and the importance of including her son in this pivotal moment.”

She hopes to have inspired other new or expecting moms studying or thinking of taking up law – by showing them that “they can do it”.
