Tottenham's Tanguy Ndombele set to miss north London derby through injury


Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele looks set to miss Sunday’s north London derby due to a thigh injury.

The 22-year-old has been left out of the most recent France squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers next week.

Ndombele is Spurs’ club record signing, joining the club this summer in a £63million deal from Lyon.

The midfielder was withdrawn with a thigh problem during last week’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle , with the hopes it was a minor injury and that he could recover in time for the north London derby this week.

And according to football.london , Ndombele has not trained with the squad this week and looks set to return after the international break.

The Frenchman also attended a fans event at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this week, where he seemed to be limping around.

Ndombele start to his Spurs career couldn’t have gone much better with a goal and an assist in his first two games.

With injury set to keep him out of the game against Arsenal , it is likely he’ll be a big blow.
