Tottenham 'agree on £64m transfer fee' to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon

Tottenham have agreed on £64million transfer fee to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, according to reports from France.

Spurs have been hot on the heels of the midfielder all summer and have finally quoted a figure Lyon are prepared to accept.

The fee includes a guaranteed £55million paid up front with an addition £9million set to be paid in bonuses.

The bonuses are reportedly realistic and will be triggered should Spurs continue to quality for the Champions League in the next few seasons.

Tottenham are yet to finalise personal terms with Ndombele, meaning the transfer is still a little way off being completed.

And this could throw a spanner in the works, according to L’Equipe.

Manchester United are still believed to be interested in signing the midfielder and could match Spurs’ offer for Ndombele.

Ndombele will be Spurs’ first signing since Davinson Sanchez joined in 2017

If they are to do this then they are on an equal footing to Tottenham when it comes to landing the Frenchman.

Ndombele will be Spurs’ first signing since Davinson Sanchez joined the north London club from Ajax back in 2017.
