THEY’RE the images of car capers and petrol head pranks that will fill Top Gear fans’ hearts with joy.
These exclusive shots from the rebooted classic sees PADDY MCGUINNESS and FREDDIE FLINTOFF stamping their unique mark on the show.
Tonight viewers were treated to a trailer providing a taste of what’s in store when the series returns to BBC2 next month.
It features images of the guys taking to the tarmac for the usual test drives of beasts like the McLaren 600LT and the Ferrari 488 Pista.
But along with co-host CHRIS HARRIS, they also journey far and wide – from Icelandic cliffs to Ethiopian mountains – in their exploration of anything with an engine.
In one scene in the trailer we see Paddy on a giant paddle raft in the jungles of Borneo, with a Seventies Matra Bagheera strapped on board.
In another Freddie gets behind the wheel of a Porsche and fights to win a race with a mini. And he’s even seen being pulled like a corpse out of the back of a hearse.
There are quite a few mind-boggling moments too, including all three presenters being overturned in an estate car – with a ball pool installed in the boot.
Another sees Chris and Freddie take huge delight in torturing Paddy in a car which looks like it’s been adapted to give him electric shocks.
I saw the trio film their first studio show last week and it harked back to the days of JEREMY CLARKSON, RICHARD HAMMOND and JAMES MAY.
The new series genuinely looks like it’ll be a laugh a minute.
