Tommy Fury: Love Island star used ‘homophobic slur’ in shock tweet to brother Tyson Fury

Tommy Fury, 20, is said to have used a homophobic slur while tweeting his older brother Tyson Fury, 30, about an upcoming fight. The social media post was reportedly sent from the Love Island 2019 star’s account in November 2014, when he was 15-years-old. Tyson was preparing to get into the ring with British heavyweight Dereck Chisora, 35, at the time. Tommy’s tweet allegedly read: “Come on bro let’s get dis win good luck brother and Chisora is a f****t and he’s gettin it proper @Tyson_Fury.”(sic.)

The Twitter account has since been disabled.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Tommy Fury and Love Island.

A source close to the show told Express.co.uk: “He wasn’t an adult at the time, if these tweets have come from him, and therefore it’s not fair to label him in any way based on what appears to be one isolated, historic tweet from an account we haven’t had verified belonged to him.”

According to Daily Star Online, other tweets from Tommy’s page included conversations between him and his sibling.

Back in 2015, a picture of Tommy was shared alongside the caption: “Training hard to be the best!”

In response, Tyson wrote: “Work hard and sacrifice everything.

“Don’t have a life other than boxing, then you will do it bro – I did it.”

The news about the tweet comes after Tommy was accused of talking about buying drugs over WhatsApp.

The Sun claimed: “In a text shown to The Sun on Sunday by a source close to the show hopeful, Tommy writes: ‘Anyone want a lot of coke for the night?’

The publication added: “He was discussing a possible purchase of the drug ahead of a stay with pals at a cottage in the Lake District for the May 6 Bank Holiday.”

Tommy is currently in the Love Island villa and coupled up with new Islander Molly-Mae, 20, during last night’s episode.

He previously picked Lucie Donlan, 21, in an earlier recoupling ceremony on the ITV show, stealing her away from her partner Joe Garratt, 22.

Last week, the athlete’s ex-girlfriend accused him of “lying” about their relationship.

The star’s former beau Millie Roberts made the revelation in response to his recent interview with OK! Magazine.

Tommy told the publication: “I’ve been single now for about 8-10 months. But like I say, it was my first relationship.

“We all have first girlfriends.”

Millie took issue with this statement, as she declared they only broke-up three months ago.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “Didn’t realise Feb-March was like eight months ago? I know you’re not the best at maths but this is no excuse.”

Millie concluded: “It’s mad what fame and money can do to people try and act like the whole relationship was nothing but okay Tommy, you do you.”
