Tom Holland talks about himself in the third person these days

Tom Holland had to step back from Instagram after he noticed it was becoming more important to him than ‘my real life.’

Don’t panic, he only deleted the app, not his account.

Speaking with E! News, Tom revealed: ‘I don’t have Instagram right now. I just had to get away from it and take a break.

‘It was taking over my life, and I was becoming obsessed by it. Like, “How many likes did I get?” and “What did people say about my picture?” and who’s doing this and who’s doing that.

‘I found myself focusing more on my Instagram life than I was on my real life.’

The star still posts on his account, but a lot less frequently than most celebrities do.

We’ve all been there, posting a cute snap only to constantly check who liked your post.

Tom noted he started feeling ‘great’ after taking a step back from technology.

‘And now that I’ve taken a step back and I’ve started to focus on Tom and the future of what Tom is gonna be, I have—I’m talking about myself in the third person,’ he started. ‘I sound like such a d**k, but you know what I mean. I’m just working on myself, and I feel really great for it.

‘I think you use it as a distraction to distract yourself from things you don’t want to face in life. So when you step up and face them, you can get over them and you become happier.’

The 23-year-old recently posted to his Instagram, so we’re guessing he hasn’t deleted the app off everything.

Tom brought his very good doggo Tessa to the London premiere of Robert Downey Jr’s film Dolittle, and boy did they look like top models on the red (well, green) carpet.

We love how they’re so in sync that they both looked off to the side dramatically as the cameras clicked.

He captioned the adorable post: ‘Talk about a flex #mydogscoolerthanyours.’
