TIPPING Point fans were left in hysterics today when a woman accidentally called Barack Obama ‘Obrack Obama’.
The woman called Jo – who went on to take home £3000 – was faced with the following question: “Published in 2010, Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters’ is a children’s book by which former US President?”
She was given the choice to pass it on by host Ben Shephard, but replied: “I’ll play, is it Obrack Obama?”
Looking bemused Ben asked her: “Say it again sorry?” and again she replied: “Obrack Obama.”
Trying not to laugh Ben said again: “Ok so you are going Obrack Obama.”
Not surprisingly she didn’t win the point and Ben told her: “I can’t accept it I am afraid it is Barack Obama not Obrack Obama and you have to be very fair about these things.”
Those watching at home found the whole thing highly amusing and took to Twitter to comment on it.
One person wrote: “Ben Shepherd kept so calm hearing Obrack Obama, I’m in fits #tippingpoint.”
A second added: “Did this lassie really just say Obrack Obama?! #tippingpoint #youneedtogobacktoschool.”
While a third wrote: “Receiving strange looks from strangers – I’m laughing by myself on the train. All because I’ve just seen the #tippingpoint clip of the lady who thinks Barack Obama is actually called Obrack Obama. Can I just get off the planet now please ?”
And someone else tweeted: “This lady on Tipping Point thought Barack Obama’s name was Obrack Obama. I’ve been laughing for 5 mins now.”
But despite Jo’s slight faux pas – she went on to win the show and took home £3000.
