He’s behind you! (Picture: Dustin Burkhouse/Magnus News)

A photographer caught the moment a tiny mackerel had a close shave with a shark.

The fish appeared to be inches from the great white’s jaws as its eyes popped and it swam away.

Photographer Dustin Burkhouse took the picture off Guadalupe Island, Mexico, late this year.

We can’t help but compare it to the Finding Nemo poster where Marlin and Dory desperately try to avoid the predator’s jaws.

Fingers crossed the mackerel had a happy ending too.
