IS there anything more annoying than peeling off a bit of tape only for it to leave a sticky residue all over everything? Short answer – no.
Well rather than furiously scrubbing away at the glue until it eventually budges, one woman has sung the praises of a bargain buy from B&Q for removing it in SECONDS.
Posting on the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It, the mum how she bought THE faux fur rug that’s been sending shoppers wild off eBay.
She wrote: “I was sick of it slipping everywhere so bought some rug tape for £3.99 from B&M that was great.
“However, now the rug is gone the sticky stuff left on my new floor [has been] a mission to remove.”
The woman tried everything she could think of to remove the sticky mess – including nail polish remover, which was “time consuming and made the house stink”. Not surprised.
Just when she’d lost all hope, the mum then thought she’d give De-Solv-it’s Sticky Stuff Remover a go – and you can pick it up for just £4 in B&Q.
She added: “So I tried this tonight and wow game-changer.”
Along with a picture of the product, the woman shared a short video with group’s thousands of members demonstrating how quickly and effortlessly the bargain buy dissolved the sticky mess.
The multipurpose product can be used to remove everything from wax, grease, chewing gum and makeup and can be used on fabric, glass, metal, tiles and wood.

Although the product description recommends allowing the product to soak in for several minutes, the woman was able to scrub the sticky residue away immediately.
And considering how it well it worked, it’s hardly surprising that her post sent other members of the group into a frenzy.
One user replied: “I need this for my tiles were I removed tile stickers! Amazing.”
Tagging a friend in the comments, another added: “You’ve been on your hands and knees for days trying to get this off!”
