Three Disneyland Paris cast members now have coronavirus – as two attractions close

DISNEYLAND Paris has confirmed that there are now three cases of coronavirus at the park, after two more members of staff tested positive for the virus.

The park has quickly reassured guests that the staff who have coronavirus have not been in contact with guests, but that they were being quarantined along with others who had interacted with them.

A spokesperson previously said that they were “continuing to implement preventive measures in line with their recommendations to help protect our guests and cast members”.

Disney is reportedly adding new measures to reduce the chances of coronavirus spreading across the park, including more hand sanitiser stations and water points, as well as ending single rider queues and replacing cutlery with disposable options.

It has also closed two attractions – The Princess Pavilion and the concerts and dancing at Billy Bob’s venue in the Disney Village.

The Princess Pavillion has reportedly been closed as part of measures to reduce direct contact with tourists as they pose for souvenir photos.

The princesses will instead be moving around the park three times a day on a chariot.

Princesses will not visit the Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant in Fantasyland either, and will be replaced by Mickey and Minnie.

According to local media, single rider queues – the queues that allow solo guests to beat the queues by filling empty single seats on rides – have been suspended.

Cutlery is being swapped out for disposable options and prams and wheelchairs that are given out are being cleaned.
