This Week’s Most Exciting New Video Game Releases – Press Start Australia


We’re already nearly into a new financial year, and although I’d assume most of us are busy toiling away in Elden Ring’s huge Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, there’s still some life left in June when it comes to new game releases.

The headliner this week is Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, a newly-minted Switch version of a sequel previously trapped on the Nintendo 3DS. James wrote about his early impressions here, calling it a modest but still gorgeous and playable update to a game that many may have missed. Continuing on the re-release trend is Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition, which is finally launching after numerous leaks and rumours.

As far as brand-new content goes, Ryu ga Gotoku Studio is bringing us Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble this week, and Melbourne’s own Summerfall Studios is launching a very exciting DLC for Stray Gods, titled Orpheus.
