AVANGAR ceases operations to focus on building esports venues
Kazakhstani organisation AVANGAR ceased operations to concentrate on building esports venues in its home nation.
During its three-year lifespan, AVANGAR competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends, and PUBG Mobile.

Vodafone Giants picks up Chupa Chups partnership
Spanish lollipop brand Chupa Chups announced the sponsorship of Vodafone Giants, marking the brand’s first foray into esports.
The partnership is designed to convey a message “full of excitement and fun” to the gaming community, as Chupa Chups seeks to “continue exploring new territories to reach its consumers,” according to a release.

Atlanta Reign satiates with McDonald’s sponsorship
Atlanta Esports Ventures‘ Overwatch League franchise Atlanta Reign received sponsorship from fast food giant McDonald’s for the remainder of the 2020 season.
Until April 6th, fans of the team will receive free delivery on orders of $15 (£12.13) or more when ordering with McDelivery through DoorDash or UberEats.

NBA 2K Players Tournament to air on ESPN
The NBA 2K Players Tournament was formed by 2K, the NBA, and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).
The NBA 2K20 event will feature 16 current NBA players, including top seeds Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks. The champion will receive a $100,000 (£80,687) prize to donate to a charity of their choice in support of ongoing coronavirus relief efforts.
