THIS Morning viewers were transported back to the 90s today as heartthrob boybands appeared to plug a new tour.

Chart-toppers A1, 911, Damage and Five joined Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford in the studio after kicking off their The Boys Are Back Tour.

The four groups might be older but that didn’t stop viewers from swooning over their former crushes.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “@A1Official Ah watching A1 on @thismorning and it’s like a time warp, travelling all over the country to see them – definitely still a fan.

A third typed: “Absolutely loved seeing the lads back on TV again took me back to when I used to wait for them to come on at the weekend. Just what I needed after a hard night shift. See you Saturday ?

The groups were buzzing to be back on the road and Ruth even floated the idea of making it an annual event.

All four bands enjoyed renewed interest in 2013 and 2014 as part of the show The Big Reunion, which saw well known 90s pop acts reunite for televised comeback gigs.

Five and 911 were in series one with the likes of Liberty X and Atomic Kitten, while A1 and Damage were in series two with Eternal and Girl Thing.

A1 hit their peak in 2000, scoring two number one singles: Take On Me and Same Old Brand New You.

Damage, who feature Spice Girl Emma Bunton’s husband Jade Jones, released two albums, while 911 sold 6millions albums globally and were megastars in Asia.

Five are now performing as a three piece with members Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, and Scott Robinson. Some of their most famous hits include Keep on Movin’ and If Ya Gettin’ Down.
