The good news is Iceland told us the Gino selection is a permanent fixture with no end date currently planned.

Speaking about the range, Gino said: “I chose to launch my new frozen range of products in Iceland because I wanted as many people as possible to have the opportunity to try my range.

“I never understand the perception people have that frozen food is cheap food – I make great Italian dishes at home and freeze them for later.”

However, shoppers will find cheaper alternatives elsewhere in store with Iceland stocking a range of own-brand pizzas from just £1.

This works out £2 cheaper than Gino’s new range.

There’s also a whole host of ready meals, including pasta bakes and spaghetti carbonara from £1.59.
