This little-known clothing brand is all over Instagram right now so snap it up before your friends find out

With summer just around the corner, and the promise of chic new fashion collections waiting for us on the high street, our payday shopping list is growing longer by the day. But if you’re searching for a totally original piece that won’t be found elsewhere, we have some piping hot sartorial inspo in store.

As any fashion lover will attest, there’s few things more exciting (other than being the first on the scene when Zara drops its ‘New In’) than discovering a little-known fashion brand on a routine Insta scroll. And that’s exactly what went down when we stumbled across Foxiedox.

Founded by mother-daughter duo Su and Stephanie, the New York-based label has female empowerment woven into the heart of its brand. Not only is Foxiedox 100% owned and operated by women, but its collections are inspired by the eternal sense of style shared between a mother and daughter, which runs through the generations irrespective of age.

“Foxiedox is a culmination of 3 generations of knowledge and passion in design and manufacturing,” the pair write on their website. “Still to this day, our grandmother demands one piece of every sample produced for her own personal collection.”

The clothes themselves walk the line between femininity and practicality, and according to Su and Stephanie, “find charm in the perfect mismatch, celebrating individuality and making femininity what you want it to be.”

There are plenty of contemporary cuts, feminine prints and smatterings of pretty embellishment, whether you’re looking for a new work outfit or that perfect summer wedding guest dress. Think embroidered tea dresses, which cost around £150, sheer panelled blouses for around £130 and sweeping maxi skirts that have ‘best-dressed’ written all over them.

The focus on female empowerment is also reflected in the brand’s support of two charitable organisations, Moms for Moms, a non-profit dedicated to providing assistance to single mothers in need throughout NYC, and The Goodwill Community Foundation, which provides programs and services to people around the world, helping them learn the essential skills they need to live and work in the 21st century.

We highly recommend snapping up your favourite pieces soon, because we predict that Foxiedox won’t stay a secret for long.
