One Ocean Beauty was founded in 2018 with a simple mission in mind: to help protect the health of the oceans. Quite simply, the brand harnesses “blue technology” which involves reproducing marine extracts from algae, kelp, and seaweed in the lab rather than harvesting them from the sea. In other words, we’re not stripping the ocean’s natural bounty for our beauty.
While many of our high technology beauty products actually contain high levels of active ingredients that are harmful for our skin, One Ocean’s formulas are completely free from ‘dirty’ ingredients: GMOs, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, PEGs, EDTAs, nanoparticles, mineral oils and synthetic fragrances.
Not only are One Ocean’s products clean, but they’re also socially aware too. Upon launch, the brand donated $250,000 to Oceana, the largest global non-profit focused solely on ocean conservation.
