Ready to know which baby names will be popping up on every future class register for the next few years?
Nameberry has revealed their most popular names of 2020.
To be clear, these aren’t the names that parents have necessarily given their children this year, but are the names parents have searched for on Nameberry in the highest volume.
This could point to these names being big in the year ahead, as those expecting search for inspiration.
The big news? Olivia, which has been the top girl’s name on the site for the last four years, has been dethroned.
This year’s most searched-for name is Luna, instead.
Over to the boys’ names, the most popular is Milo, for the second year running, followed by Atticus and Asher.

Nameberry notes that for girls, names beginning with El remain popular, as do mythology-inspired monikers (think Athena and Persephone), and vintage ones like Daisy and Edith.
For boys, meanwhile, names starting with Lu sounds are more popular – see Luke, Lucas, and Louis.
