Want a getaway that’s guaranteed to get you some Instagram likes?

These places might be a good place to start.

From an 18th century farmhouse in France to a treehouse nestled in a nature reserve, Airbnb has revealed their most liked homes on Instagram for 2021.

Now, this doesn’t mean that these properties are the best, or that all other Airbnbs should be shunned in their favour.

Instead, these are simply the Airbnb listings that have received the most attention on Insta – so are clearly very visually appealing, at least from the outside.

Shall we take a look?

The crown of Airbnb’s most liked photo of 2021 goes to A-frame cabin offering incredible views of the Zion Mountains.

Described as an ‘unforgettable’ stay for two, it’s got a truly breathtaking location – and a private hot tub.

We all dream of living in a treehouse, right?

This one sits in a 40 acre wilderness wildlife preserve, and is described as offering ‘radical off-grid therapy’.

Anyone else sensing a theme?

It looks like last year we were all keen on the idea of rural retreats – blame lockdown for making us want to escape our city dwellings.

This two-bedroom cabin is pretty special, located high in the redwoods of Monte Rio and providing a bird’s eye view (hence the name) of the forest surrounding the property.

Another cosy cabin, built in 1968 and sitting minutes away from the Kingdom Trails, Burke Mountains, Lake Willoughby, and the VAST trail – so it’s ideal for hikers and bikers.

Escape to the forest in this luxurious cabin, sitting in five acres of private forest.

The two outdoor decks – with hot tubs, naturally – surrounded by towering pine trees are something special… and make for great Insta shots.

Stressheads, this is the place for you.

Relax in the pool, sit and chill on the garden swing, or soak in the solar-powered Jacuzzi, as a personal chef cooks up breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

All aboard this unusual retreat in Belgrade, Serbia.

Docked at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, this is a fancy take on waterside life. No seasickness here.

Surrounded by century-old oaks, this traditional wood frame farmhouse dates back to the 18th century but a recent renovation has added modern comforts like a heated pool.

Back on the cabin hype, but this time in Mexico – close to the mountain villages of Mineral del Chico and Mineral del Monte, to be exact.

Fun fact: this is the former home of two Georgia governors.

The bedroom of the guesthouse used to act as a smokehouse back in the 1840s, but now forms the base of a dreamy romantic retreat.
