Having spent the best part of four months in tracksuit bottoms, there’s no denying that the slight lift on lockdown last weekend encouraged a large majority of us to at least contemplate putting together an outfit for the first time in a while.
Whether or not you dared venture out to a pub, even those who spent another night on the sofa were no doubt conjuring up dream outfits to wear when the time is right for that first foray back out into the real world.
We’re also going to make a mass presumption that those of you putting together hypothetical outfits no doubt also panicked at the sudden realisation that you have NO GOOD CLOTHES in your wardrobe. Sound familiar?
While we’d never encourage frivolous spending, we think that the lack of clothes shopping we’ve done over the last few months, combined with the fact that we’ve moved on two seasons since we last put on real clothes, warrants a little sartorial treat. After all, the industry desperately needs our support having spent weeks-on-end with enforced store closures.
